If you have a KitchenAid stand mixer, this simple attachment turns it into a can opener! Simply attach it to the mixer accessory hub.Using your stand mixer to open tin cans seems beneath the machine's power, but then again, the stand mixer is all about versatility. The can opener attachment is a single, hefty piece of steel; attach it to the mixer's motor hub and position the can under the cutting blade. Pull the handle up and over and the can locks in place. Turn the power to speed 2 and watch it go. The stand mixer's weight balances heavy cans and its height accommodates tall ones.
